ILMA — the International Lebanese Medical Association — is the first and only international association of Lebanese health professionals. Founded in 2013 and formally registered in Lebanon in 2019, ILMA now spans over 26 countries across Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. ALMA is proud to be the Australian chapter of ILMA.
ILMA is a non-political, non-denominational association of Lebanese medical societies and individuals throughout the world. It brings together those of Lebanese heritage who share common interests in health, education, and research — both within Lebanon and across the global diaspora.
ILMA strives to improve the health and wellbeing of the Lebanese community worldwide. It serves as a platform for health professionals to collaborate, share knowledge, and advance medical education and research — connecting the Lebanese diaspora with their homeland.
With member associations spanning over 26 countries across Africa, Europe, North and South America, and Oceania, ILMA has grown into a truly global network of Lebanese health professionals. All member associations are equal, fostering a culture of mutual respect and shared purpose.
Whether through joint conferences, educational webinars, or collaborative research initiatives, ILMA members work together to raise healthcare standards for Lebanese communities everywhere. To learn more about the global ILMA network, visit intlma.org.
